I know that requesting a photo of a particular Civil War veteran is somewhat like seeking a needle in a haystack, but I'm going to try anyway. I am seeking any image of Capt. D. Cyrus Holdridge, who originally served as Sergeant in Company H, 2d Wisconsin Infantry. He resigned from that unit to accept a commission in Company H, 23d Wisconsin Infantry. He resided in Columbia County, Wisconsin at the time of the war. If anyone should know of the existence of a photo of him, please let me know. To show my appreciation, I would be glad to sing at your funeral.
