I wanted to correct this information. The William Hamley in the 41st WI Infantry was not my gggrandfather William Henry Hamley. Instead it was his uncle and namesake, William Hamley.
William and his wife drew pensions in WI and Idaho. William was a saddler by trade and two of his sons moved to Oregon and started the Hamley Saddle Co. William and his wife Phillipa are buried in the Kendrick Cemetery, Nez Perce County, Idaho.
