hi my grate grate grand father was b f chase from nealsvile wis ive tryed my best to find all the info i can but im vary laking / i no he inlisted in the 19th comp c , privite to sarjent i think first sargent , i no hr was detatched at the norfolf jail in the fall of 1863 , i no he was sick and almost died from the wether in va and north carilina , i dont no if he saw any action ? , i no he did his full 3 years , after the war he became a loyer in agusta wis and helped vets get there pentions ,/ is there any pics of the 19th comp c out there / any info out there / i no at least at first he was with col sanders / as a old man he wrote [ i to have a vary interesting personal history if wertheness would ever have it , the hand of a redy writer . i want so much to put together as many factes that mite be out there to fill with the historical sociyrty / there are so many of you out there that no so much about finding the info avalible if by chance you could find the time and please let me no what you can find . b f chase was a man of honor , this i no from old letters he deserves a better efort then i have thankyou for any help dave / email is david911boom@yahoo.com and god bless
