The Company B, 37 Wisconsin Infantry roster shows George Taff's residence at enlisting as Janesville.

He was born in New York May 25, 1849. I'm trying to find out when, how and why he went to Wisconsin.

Shortly after the war he moved to Belleville, St. Clair County, Illinois. Spent the rest of his life there.

Also I want to know when and why he came to Belleville, Illinois.
