Capt. Morgan McDonald

According to one period news report, Capt. John H. McNeill of Mcneill's partisan rangers mortally wounded Capt. Morgan McDonald in a skirmish in the streets of Frederick, Md. on July 10, 1864. The paper says that McDonald was in the 21st Pa. Cav, but I believe he was in the 12th. A later article by one of McNeill's men says that McDonald was "literally riddled with shot." Any info on McDonald will be greatly appreciated.
