Re: F. G. Nicholson
Hi, I read your post with interest because I'm buying a photograph of 1st Lieutenant Francis G. Nicholson, Company B, 3rd Pennsylvania Reserves. My interest in Lieutenant Nicholson stems from the fact that he was wounded in the arm at the battle of Antietam (Sharpsburg, Maryland) September 17 ,1862. I'd love to compare photographs sometime. The one I'm purchasing was contained in an album owned by Captain Robert Johnson, Company E, of the same regiment. Nicholson's photo isn't signed by him, but identified on the back, in pencil, by Captain Johnson. Hope this note finds you well, Scott
