I am looking for any information on " one officer and ten men" captured in Desha County Arkansas in April or early May 1864 by Captain Reginald H. Thompson, CSA. They were offered for exchange to Lt Commander Prichett of the Union Navy in leiu of one Private William Sain of Thompson's command. The exchange did not take place as Sain finished the war at Camp Chase. I know a lot of the 77th was captured at Mark's Mill in April, but as far as I know Thompson and his men did not participate in the battle at Mark's Mill. The area in Desha County would have been near the confluence of the Arkansas and Mississippi Rivers.
Any information would be appreciated.
