Thanks you John for all the useful imformation. Since Abram (Sr) served only 3 months I'm wondering if there's any pint in ordering his CV pension file. I do see where there are two ptions for me to order the file and one is about 1/3 the price of the full file. Perhaps that's the file I should consider. What an unfortunate duty to have to serve as a guard in an overgrowded prison (on either side) in those days . . .
