I am trying to acquire any information available on Joseph Powell an Australian born Civil War veteran; relating to his life, family, descendants and especially where he is buried. All I have is that Joseph Powell was born in Melbourne, Australia. His residence was not listed, but he enlisted as a 19 year old Private on 10/22/1861 and was mustered into "I" Co. Ohio 4th Cavalry on 11/25/1861. He was mustered out on 10/31/1864. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated as I want to add him to the Memorial Website www.acwv.info.
