You can order his service and/or pension record through the box (ad) at the top of this message board. I believe that its cheaper (and quicker) than ordering directly from the National Archieves.

You can get a veteran headstone (free) from the Veterans Administration and/or you can buy a Civil War (Grand Army of the Republic) flag holder via the internet. I forgot the actual web site but I found them via a web search for a Spanish American War veteran relative.

Found a more readable version of Reddick's pension application. He applied for a pension on Jan. 3, 1876 and the application # was 212368. The certificate # was 423004.
His widow applied for a pension (application #700911/certificate #540328)
Certificate numbers means he & later his widow were granted pensions. The numbers will help in the research if you order the pension files.

His pension diex card lists his date of death as April 25, 1898 in Okluskee County, Okla.

You can see (and maybe print out) Reddick's enlistment card at
www.sos.mo.gov/archives/soldiers

Type in his name, select Civil War and Army only records and its a very short list from which to pick
