I have been doing some more looking and I came across Dema's and Edwin's family trees.You were correct in fact that Dema's history does put her birth in St.Paul MN.Edwin's also states he was born in Cass,IL.Both family trees list there father as William Wells born in 1832 and their mother being Sarah Gregg.In the Dunklin Missouri Census both children and wife are listed.There is another child listed,her name on the census was Martha Wells.I traced this name to a Martha Motts Wells,her fathers name was William Wells or he went by Charles W. Wells,her mothers maiden name was Leah Overmeier.Martha was born in 1848 in Darwin OH. and died Sept. 10,1905 in Westerville,Vermilion IL.It also listed a second spouse,Leah Mott.Is there any mention of this child in your records? Is there any more information on marrige dates or anything else when Charles married Elizabeth Shaible? If any of this makes sense to you please let me know.
