I was able to find a Charles W.Wells in a 1860 Census.It states his age at 25 years old with a wife named Sarah and three children,Dema,age 3,female born in Illinois,Edwin,age 2 male,born in Missouri,Marth, age 2.12 female born in Missouri.It states, Union,Dunklin Missouri 1860.I was also able to find an 1880 Census report. Charles W.Wells age 48.Born 1832, VA. Carriage Maker,1880 Jackson Co., Jackson, Michigan.It lists his spouse as Lizze Wells.Does his biograpy say anything about him maybe being in Kansas? I found two Charles W.Wells in Kansas Cavalry's.One in Co. I 9th Kansas and one in Co.F 14th Kansas.I found one Charles W.Wells in the 3rd Missouri Sm Cavalry [2nd orginization] but it was organized in 1863.If any of this makes sense or goes along with the biography let me know so I know that I am on the right track.If there is any other information you can provide me from the biograpy feel free to do so.
