Burdsall's Dragoons

Searching for information regarding Burdsall's Cincinnati Dragoons, especially during July 1861 in the Rich Mountain battle. I know they accompanied General Rosecrans on his march around the Confederate left flank, to the top of Rich Mountain. The thing that is missing from the Official Records is their disposition during the battle. Rosecrans does not mention how they were deployed.

According to a Confederate account, the artillery fired on a body of cavalry in the direction of Beverly. A squad was sent out to investigate, but found nothing other than Scott's 44th Virginia Regiment. Scott does not mention being fired upon, so it stands to reason it was a body of Union cavalry ... Burdsall's.

Would appreciate copies of letters or accounts from these soldiers regarding Rich Mountain.

Thank you in advance.
