He isn't showing in any census I can find and I am not sure if there is a way (other then pensions) that soldiers were tracked after the war. I haven't found him on the pensions but I haven't had a lot of luck searching those at all. The PA Cameron was a substitute which I am wondering since he wasn't a US citizen if that might be more likely him. Everyone had assumed he died during the war but both records say he discharged.
