May great-grandfather, Enoch Howe served in Company I, Michigan 8th Cavalry Regiment.
According to records on Ancestory.com I have the following information:
He enlisted May 26, 1864 in Kalamazoo, Michigan as private and mustered out June 10, 1865 in Pulaski, TN as corporal. I would like to find the original source for this information.
I am trying to trace just what battles and action he saw so need to be sure of the actual dates of his service.
