My g-grandfather, JJ Clark, was in the 17th SC Infantry, Company F, directly across from the Ninth MIchigan Infantry. He was killed by sharpshooters on July 2, 1864 in the trenches.
Can you direct me to any personal diaries or any other information about sharpshooting along the lines at that point, on that date? Thanks.
