Residence Macomb County MI; 26 years old.
Enlisted on 11/6/1862 at Clinton, MI as a Private.
On 1/20/1863 he mustered into "D" Co. MI 8th Cavalry
He died a POW on 12/1/1863 at Richmond, VA
He was listed as:
* POW 11/18/1863 Knoxville, TN
(Buried in National Cemetery, Richmond, Va.)

His service records which may be procured through the service in the Red enclosed box above may give information on the nature
of his hospitalization and death. I would suspect he was wounded and died of his wounds while his short captivity. He may have initially been buried in
either the Hollywood or Oakwood Richmond cemeteries and later re-interned in the National Cemetery.
