5th Mich Cavalry, Co. "M"

My 2nd Great Uncle was William L. Vicory, in the 5th Michigan Volunteers Cavalry, Company M. He was wounded crossing the Pamunkey River on May 27, 1864 and died of his wounds on August 13, 1864. He is buried in the National Cemetery in Philadelphia, Pa.

His best friend was Orrin Curtis, whose picture appears on this website. If there are any relatives of Orrin Curtis still online, please contact me.

I am looking for any information about him or the 5th Michigan Cavalry, Company M. It was also noted in this military file, that he spent time with the "Fifth Corps."

Kindest regards,

Elizabeth Vicory
