I am researching my G/G Grandfather August (Augustus) Hartman. I have done some extensive research through the National Archives and through the Muskegon County Library. I haven't been able to find any photos of him or his troop. Any help here? I am also investigating the skirmish in which he was wounded: September 1864 in Smithville, West Virginia. This was verified by a Disability affitdavit by fellow "I" company trooper Narzis Steiner. Any help would be much appreciated.
