In Response To: Camp Tilden White Pigeon MI. ()

Good morning,

According to Dyer's Compendium the 6th Michigan Infantry / Heavy Artillery had quite a career and was devastated by disease. The write up can be found here: http://www.civilwararchive.com/Unreghst/unmiinf1.htm#6th

As for Frank B. Knause, the Civil War Soldiers & Sailors database ( http://www.itd.nps.gov/cwss/soldiers.cfm ) lists him as being a member of Company E and being mustered in as a Corporal. Apparently Frank may have gotten himself in trouble at some point as he musteres out of the regiment as a private.

Hope this helps,

MATT
