I was interested in the 4th Michigan Infantry. This is because they wore gray uniforms, but I would also be interested in a 4th Michigan Cavalry photograph especially if it is from the early war period. I am trying to document what uniforms Michiagn issued early in the war and have yet to find out what Michiagn issued her cavalry units. All I can find is uniforms that match what the Federal government issued uniform. Perhaps the Michigan issued uniforms were copies of the Federal cavalry uniforms. I if you can send a copy of the Photogrpah let know.

Must be great to have Civil War photographs of family members, my family have very little in that regard
