Cpl. Charles Henry Bartlett, 3rd Infantry, Co G

I seek any further information regarding Charles Henry Bartlett's Civil War experience. I have found much information regarding his brother William R.'s service record but little regarding Charles who is listed as passing away 17 Jan 1865 and buried in Stones River National Cemetary (although letters from his wife indicate he was buried at home in Michigan?). I would like to know what he may have done while in Murfreesboro, what hospital (the location/name of residence) he may have been in, whether it is known what illness he suffered (I noted that only 2 deaths were caused by combat) and if the stated date of death would be correct since the 3rd infantry moved on to Huntsville the day before? Could he have been interred, removed then reinterred at home or could the grave at Stones River be simply a marker? I am confused.
Any information is appreciated. He was my Great Grandmother's first husband (brother of my great grandfather).
Thank you!
