That is fascinating information regarding the battle that Pascal was involved in. While all the deaths from the Civil War were sad, Pascal's somehow seems especially poignant - it was so close to the end of the war.

I told my brother about this thread and he is very interested. He has done a lot of work on the Odette family tree. You mentioned that Pascal had been reinterred in Marietta and he wanted to know if his grave site has been identified.

A reunion sounds great. Did you know that there is a website entitled Association of the Descendants of Nicholas Audet dit Lapointe, Inc.? They have been having Audet reunions since 2003. The reunions all appear to have taken place somewhere in Quebec, although they did not have one this year. There are about 700 members. The vast majority of members are from Quebec. I only saw 2 members from Michigan and no Odettes, only lots of Audets. There are also a lot of LaPointes. Since so many Odettes ended up in Michigan, it seems that we are grossly underrepresented. It is only $20.00 to join and I am considering doing that.

If you have compiled a family tree, I would love to have that information to add to the tree that I have.
