Yes i have seen the name. I have looked at the lists of the Adjutant General's reports of 1854. 1856, 1858 and 1860 and they were not in the Michigan Uniformed Militia for those years. This does not indicate that did not exist, as sometimes militia companies did not get accepted in the Uniformed Militia or even try to join it. They did not attend any of the militia training camps of 1860. I believe they were formed after the start of the Civil War. The only information I have on them is they were trying to join the 5th Infantry Regiment. I any very interested in militia uniforms form this period and if you have any information on their uniforms I would love to see it.
