My great grandfather's very oldest brother, Pascal Odette, was in Co H, 14th Michigan and was killed at Utoy Creek west of Atlanta on about August 7, 1864 during one of the probing attacks there against the Confederate defensive works. If you have any details concerning those days and the fighting near Utoy Creek in particular, I would be very interested.
