Stanton's Guard

The Stanton's Guard was a six month unit created for the guarding of several political prisoners in early 1862 at Michigan's Mackinac Island.

I am searching for pictures of this unit and also a nominal roll, and am interested in info on one of its members... Robert Fulton Dodd, and his role with the guard. He would later earn a Medal of Honor with the 27th Michigan Infantry at the Battle of the Crater, but I have lots on that event.

Can anyone help out?

thanks
