I contacted Len about his information and his reply is below. I cannot confirm that he is in Avondale and I have walked that cemetery many times and did not record him in my list. Might be an error on someones part?

Merle Perry did an earlier transcription of Civil War gravesites in the 1960's here in Genesee County. I have reviewed his records at the Buick Gallery-Sloan Museum.
