Hello, I am searching for any information on my GGGrandfather, Adna Allen, who enlisted in China, Michigan, on Oct 2nd, 1861 and served as a private in Company E, 10th Michigan Infantry until June 18, 1865. I think I have his service records (they look like oblong documents telling the dates and locations of where he served), but nothing else. He did not collect a pension as he died in 1874, and I don't know if his widow, Mary Parker Allen, received his pension or not. I do not know his date or location of his birth. I am hoping to find more, because I cannot go any farther in my genealogy study without more information about him. Do enlistment records exist for that branch of the service? Can anyone tell me where else to look?
