For all of you interested in the 8th Michigan Infantry--I have not read all the postings so I don't know if this has already been brought up--but there is a book in it's entirity on-line called "What I Remember of The Great Rebellion" written by the surgeon of that regiment. The author of the book is Wells B Fox, written in 1892. A google search of the book title will bring it up. The book can be down-loaded. I found it very interesting. There is also a group photo of a reunion of the survivors, however, the photo does not--unfortunately--name the attendees. I hope this will help anyone who is looking into the movements of this regiment.
