Name: Ludlow Hallenbeck ,
Enlistment Date: 28 Mar 1864
Enlistment Place: Hillsdale, Michigan
Service Record:
Enlisted as a Private on 28 March 1864 at the age of 18.
Enlisted in Company A, 2nd Infantry Regiment Michigan on 8 Apr 1864.
Received a disability discharge from Company A, 2nd Infantry Regiment Michigan on 6 Sep 1864 at Washington, DC.

Received a pension from the state of Michigan. His widow applied for and received a pension in Colorado. The pension is filed as Ludlow A. Hollenbeck, wife Lucinda.

You can obtain his complete Compiled Military Service Record and Pension File through the link below or by clicking on the large ad at the top middle of this page. His "CMSR" would show his capture and other details. His pension file would have the most personal information and probably more about his imprisonment.

I'll look for more on William Hallenbeck.
