Company F was also armed with Spencer Repeating rifles.
According to records contained in his pension file, on March 16, 1865, my ancestor Ira Erastus Angus, a member of Company F, was accidentally shot by a Spencer rifle in the hands of Willard S. Hathorn, another member of Company F, while in camp at Knoxville, Tennessee.
