I'm looking for My Great Grandfathers gravesite. He inlisted in the 23rd Illinois infantry, was musterd out and re-enlisted in Co. K 1st US Calvary. His grave is listed as being in Woodmere Cemetery in Detroit. I've contacted them several times and even spoke with the resident Geneologist but they say they have no records before 1890 (he was buried in 1877) Any suggestion as to other ways of pinpointing the Gravesite?
