Honey (Harvey in Mich. records), Washington, September 1843 born in New York (father born in England/mother born in Canada); Nov. 3, 1863 enlisted at Mason, Mich. as pvt., Co. H, 11th Mich. Cavalry Rgt. May 2, 1865 captured (no place given) June 12, 1865 returned to regiment; July 15, 1865 discharged at Pulaski, Tenn. c.1868 married; 1870 farm laborer at Aurelius, Ingham County, Mich. Oct. 12, 1891 applied for a pension (certificate no. 802259); 1900 capitalist at Wood Lake, Cherry County, Neb. 1910 coal merchant at Wood Lake; 1920 retired merchant at Wood Lake; April 28, 1927 his widow Sarah Honey (February 1848 born in Michigan/parents born in England) applied for a pension while living in Nebraska (certificate no. A-6-14-27); had one child who died prior to 1900.
