Hello. Can anyone out there tell me if Jardines' sharpshooters was also called Co. L of the 16th Michigan Inf? In Vinewood Cemetery,Edmore,Mich. a man named John Hinds has a gravestone listing him as in Co.L, 16th Mich. but checking I found that the 16th only had companies through K. In Kim Crawfords book on the 16th a John Hinds is listed as one of Jardines sharpshooters attached to the 16th. Thanks,Gene.
