That's great information, thank you much! As for the Marshall Light Guard I would not be surprised if they were also the Douglas guard but can not confirm at this time. I know that the Marshall Light become Company I for the 1st Michigan Infantry and get their color bearer killed at First Manasass but that is the extent of what I know about them. I will try the Marshall Archives for those Newspapers. Thanks again!
