Daniel Battershall

After years of research on my line of the Battershall family from Jackson County, Michigan I have found out that my great-great grandfather, Daniel M. Battershall is probably buried in the Poplar Grove National Cemetery / Petersburg National Battlefield at Petersburg, Virginia. Daniel enlisted in the Company E / 20th Michigan Infantry on 08/05/1862 - his residence at that time was listed as Parma, Michigan. He was killed at Petersburg, Virginia on June 18th, 1864 during a skirmish. He left behind his wife Minerva & children George, Eugene (my great-grandfather) and Ida. I have contacted one of the park rangers at Petersburg and she told me that 10 other soldiers from Daniel's unit are also buried at Poplar Grove. If anyone has any additional info. about Daniel or the battle in which he died (Petersburg, VA - June 18th, 1864), I would appreciate seeing it. I would also like to find out who the other 10 men were. Thank you.
