Mr. Bertera

I would love to be able to see those photos. I am working on identifying uniforms the state of Michigan issued at the start of the war and have hit a road block with the 4th Rgt. I know the uniforms were made by E.S. Heinemann of Detroit of cadet gray cloth from the Jonesville Woolen Factory. I am try to prove they were 1) like the 9 button dark blue jackets issued to the 1st and 2nd Regiments or 2) they were like the gray jackets issued at the Camp of Instruction or 3) identical to the gray 10 button jackets issued to the 3rd Rgt. I also would also like to know if 4th Regt gray officer uniforms were identical to the state blue officer’s uniforms. If you would like you can e-mail me at carr7376@comcast.net or send me copies at Bill Carr 1228 Berten Lansing MI 48910. I can assure you I would only use them only for my personnel research. If neither option is acceptable I would meet you some where to be able to get to view the photos. Thank you for answering my query. I have considerable information on early Civil War militia uniforms and state issue uniforms if you have any question on this subject or if this is of interest to you, please contact me.
