Michael Donahue with 2nd Battalion, Maryland Caval

I am looking for information on an ancestor of mine named Michael Donahue.

A number of years ago when I went to the National Archives to look up the name Michael Donahue, I found that there were 3 men by that name who fought for the Confederacy. One was listed as having served with McNeill's Rangers. Actually he is listed as being in the 2nd Battalion, Maryland Cavalry. Apparently they were originally partisan rangers in 1863, then were mustered into the Confederate army in May of 1864. In mid-1864 they fought with Early in the Shenandoah Valley, and then late in 1864 they were moved to WV to operate with McNeill's Rangers. I understand that Lieutenant Colonel Harry W. Gilmor commanded their unit.

Anything you can tell me about this Michael Donahue would be greatly appreciated.
