This Confederate veteran appears in Broadfoot's name index of Confederate soldiers as being with Company C, 1st Maryland Cavalry - CSA.

However, the name Eli Scott Dance does not appear in that command's Compiled Service Records as found on Fold3.

Is there another source - outside of pension records, to confirm his service ? I am seeking date & place of enlistment; and whether or not
Mr. Dance was present at the July 1863 Battle of Gettysburg.
