MUDD/BADEN family during Civil War

Purportedly, my family is a direct descendent to Dr. Samuel Alexander Mudd, the physician who set the broken leg of John Wilkes Booth, assassin of Abraham Lincoln. Dr. Samuel Mudd had several brothers and sisters, and although I've been unable to find the direct link between Dr. Mudd and my family, there is a possibility we are a direct link to one of the brothers as the family name was carried on to my great grandmother and then to my grandfather. If anyone has access to the names of the brothers of Dr. Mudd, I would appreciate that information be forwarded to me. Did any of the Mudd brothers fight in the Civil War as Union or Confederate?

Also, on one side of my family (Baden), I find a great great grandfather who fought in the Civil War as a confederate in the 1st Maryland Cavalry Regt CS. His name was John H. Baden. Any names of the brothers of John H. Baden and whether they fought in the Union or Confederate side would be appreciated, as well.

I have exhausted all links at Ancestry.com for the above information.

Thank you.
