Re: Wiley Britton problem-6th Ks Cav

There was also another James Britton who served in 6th Ks, Co'E'(#1)(which became Co'C'(#2) in Mar 62). After looking at some 1850 & 1860 census records on internet, this may more likely be the brother. The nativity(IN) matches 1860 Neosho, Newton Co., MO census and the ages are right. On Rgt descriptive roll he also places his residence at Neosho, MO. If this is the brother of Wiley, the AG report lists him dying of disease 26 Oct 61 at Ft Scott-even further off the mark from Wiley's account in Memoirs.
