Great news! Francis M. Hobgood received a Union Veteran's Pension from Pennsylvania. Here's the information I have from Ancestry.Com.

Name of soldier: Francis M. Hobgood
Widow: Mary J. Hobgood
Service: B, 6 U.S. Vol. Inf
Invalid Pension: 1884? Oct. 10
Application No. 1,066,679
Certificate No. 823,253?

Widows Pension: 1887 Sep. 9
Application No. 1,596,288
Certificate No. unreadable

William, I can't be sure about some of the dates as the copy is very difficult to read. It appears that Mary Hobgood received her Widow's pension in the state of Ohio; however, I'm guessing at that.
