Yes Bryce I totally agree. I contacted the museum in Ness City and they have been looking for their namesake for dozens of years now. The Histocial Society of Kansas had his record that of Noah. V. Ness but nothing else.

They do not even know that the K was left off of his name when he enlisted in the 7th Kansas Cavalry.

What is now Ness County should be Kness county and what now is Ness City should be Kness City. And the name on the statue Noah V. Ness should be Noah V. Kness.

I can understand not changing the name of the town or county but I do believe for history's sake that the man should have his own name back even if it is 140 years later and I am referring to the name on the statue.
