Re: Kansas Regiments in Price's Missouri Invasion

Bryce..... Book mailed yesterday.

One mystery that has eluded me for several years may be connected with General Thomas Ewing's papers, which I recalled you are very familiar with. In Cutler's Biographical History of Kansas, there is a reference to Private Evan J. B. Jones, Company F, 10th Kansas being wounded at the battle of Prairie Grove in the arm. While his arm was amputated he remained in service which he claimed was a spy for Brigadier General Ewing in Missouri. Have you come across any correspondence on this individual?

Thanks,
Howard Mann
