Dean, I use to leave in Pleasanton back in the 80's and did alot of surveying in the area. While doing research on surveying records at Mound City at the court house I found a survey map done a few days after the battle, which had on it a large arrow on it which showed the direction of Prices retreat. The piece of property for which the survey was done is south and west of the mound south of the battlefield. During the time I leaved in the area I did alot metal detecting and found alot of items.
