I figured if anyone knew about a member of the 10th Kansas it would be you. I do have a correction on my original post because I found out that the 15th Kansas did have a Chaplain. His name was Benjamin L. Read, he was from Leavenworth, and he was mustered-in and mustered-out with the regiment.

The 15th Kansas certainly deserved their reputation as the "red-leg" regiment, but I have found that many of the reg-leg incidents attributed to them are false. For example, they are accused of enforcing the infamous Order No. 11, but the regiment wasn't even activated until October 1863, about a month after the order was enforced. I'm sure that George H. Hoyt and some of the other reg-legs who became members of the 15th Kansas DID help enforce it, but the regiment itself didn't.
