Re: Back from Book Signings

Hello to all,

Just a note to tell everyone what a great time I had being back in Oklahoma last month signing copies of my book Brilliant Victory: The Second Civil War Battle of Cabin Creek, Indian Territory at the Vinnie Ream House in Vinita and at Grove's Har-Ber Village. If you haven't had the pleasure of seeing all of the antiques housed at Har-Ber Village, you should definitely make the trip. One exhibit building is filled with Civil War, Indian Wars and other military relics. If you are ever visiting northeastern Oklahoma, you should put the village on your "must see" list. By the way, Har-ber Village donated more than 20 copies of my book to local area middle schools and high schools. I commend them for helping to save local history and for making young people aware of the history in their own backyard.

Also be sure to put the Honey Springs Battlefield on your list. Located just south of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Ralph Jones and Howard McKinnis continue to do a great job developing new trails and a visitors center. I'm definitely headed down there the next time I'm back in the state.

Best Regards from Spokane,
Steve Warren
