Re: Albert E. Saviers: Redleg,Cass Cnty Hm Gd, 1st

I am a descendant of Albert E. Saviers (abt 1842-1902). I don't believe he is German or of German descent. All of the information I have on him shows the family to be mainly from Great Britain. My research shows him as being born in Little Beaver, Lawrence Co., Pennsylvania, USA. Albert's father was Milton Saviers, born 1816 in Little Beaver, PA, died 1863 in Wyandotte, Kansas. The family emigrated from Northern Ireland to Virginia after 1736 but before 1761. I suspect that they were originally Huguenots. In Northern Ireland, records sometimes list them as Seavers.
