My gg-grandfather served in the 15th KVC, Co. G during the Civil War. On his muster roll card for July & Aug 1865 is noted:

"New recruit, one installment due. Bounty paid $140. On D.S. at Ft. Lyon per S.O. No. 61 dated Hd. Ins. 15th K.V.C. Ft. Larned Ks Aug 14/65."

I am trying to find information on S.O. 61 -- want to learn just what my gg-grandfather may have been doing at Ft. Lyon and Ft. Larned. Any information is appreciated. THANKS!
