The roster of the 1st IN Cav listed Land's residence as Leavenworth, IN. That city was not his place of muster. I don't know if Land's Confederate record would have residential info, but his Federal record would have that information on his descriptive and muster rolls. If all else fails, you can always check the 1860 Federal census for Leavenworth, to determine if Land resided in Leavenworth before the war. Good luck!
